KOKUSAI FESTA

On November 7 there was the annual KOKUSAI FESTA at the Ipal Kagawa in
Chuo Koen in Takamatsu. Many people from many countries came to this
event. The day started very early in the morning. The official start
time was 9:30. But, the place was very lively by 8am.
Many people helped to set up booths. There were information booths,
crafts booths, booths selling food, booths with activities for people to
do, like origami. There were booths hosted by Japanese volunteer groups
that support international affairs. Groups like UNESCO, Kagawa
Volunteers, etc., gave out information and tried to get new members to
support their international cause. There were groups like the
China-Japan Friendship League, where they gave information about how
they work to support international friendship between people in Kagawa
and people in China. There were similar organizations like the
France-Japan Friendship Society and the Central Asia-Japan Association.
Many people from Takamatsu University participated in the event,
including President Tsukuda. The Business Administration Department was
also well represented. Inai Sensei and exchange students from China
worked as volunteers. They played games with local adults and children.
As a new member of the Kagawa Boy Scouts Council, I also helped out with
the event. Everyone had a great time.
